The Jolliest Elf
written by Dan McManus

When a little one finds out an Elf is coming for Christmas, a lot of questions naturally follow. When is this Elf coming?  How do you know an Elf?  And Who is this Elf who loves Christmas so much?

As these answers are revealed, we also Learn - one day Our Elf will leave and Never Return!

But don't you pout 'cause The Jolliest Elf is sure to bring the smiles out.

This is a style I developed working in the animation and game industry used to iterate character designs. I use this when the project needs a touch of the 3 dimensional. Many a rolling hill in the background.

This is the style that I have been developing and improving since I was 16 years old. I’m working in a maximum of two planes wherever possible. Things in the background are only added when essential to the story. They are often drawn on the same horizon line as the main focal character and adjusted in size to create depth. This is how comics were done originally and is my favourite way to work.
